Section 41(4) in The Haryana New Mandi Townships Building Rules, 1967

(4)All walls mentioned in this rule shall be of such thickness as to give the ratio of storey height (or length) to the thickness of the wall not more than that given below :

Mortar in which wall is built	Allowable ratio of storey height or length to the thicknessof wall
1:3 or 1.4 cement mortar	14
1:2 lime mortar or 1:6 cement mortar	13
Mud mortar	12
