Section 38 in Sher-I-Kashmir Universities of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Act, 1982
38. Finance Committee.
(1)The board shall constitute a Finance Committee, consisting of-(i)The Vice-Chancellor (ex-officio Chairman);(ii)Financial Adviser;(iii)Two Secretaries to Government to be nominated by the Government;(iv)Director Research/Director Extension Education/Director Resident Instruction (one Director by rotation every year to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor);(v)One nominee of the Board who should be the non-official member of the Board ;(vi)Comptroller shall be the ex-officio Secretary of the Committee.(2)Finance Committee shall have the following functions :-(i)to examine the annual accounts and budget estimates of the University and to advise the University Council and Board thereon;(ii)to review me financial position of the University from time to time ;(iii)to make recommendations to the University or all matters relating to the finances of the University.
