3. Application.
(1)These regulations shall apply to all the entities authorised by the Board to lay, build, operate or expand natural gas pipelines under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Authorizing Entities to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand Natural Gas Pipelines) Regulations, 2008 and any other natural gas pipelines including dedicated pipelines notified by the Board from time to time.(2)Definitions of design, material and equipment, welding, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance and corrosion control of natural gas pipeline network shall be in accordance with the requirements of ASME B31.8 except in so far as such requirements are specifically cancelled, replaced or modified by the requirements specified in these regulations.
