22. Research and Development.
- The State Government may set up a Police Research and Development Bureau, to be headed by an officer not below the rank of Additional-Director General of Police, independent of the Police Organization, to undertake surveys and studies and provide advice and recommendations to the State Government on matters relating to improving the efficiency of policing services.Chapter-III The Civil Police: Control, Duties and Responsibilities
