(2)After the publication of proclamation under foregoing Rule- 4(1), the survey and settlement officer, or any other officer/employee, acting under the authority of the Survey and Settlement Officer shall have power to enter upon the lands under Special Survey and Settlement, to examine and measure such lands by any method, he deems fit and may clear the lands by cutting down or removing any trees, jungle, standing crops or other obstructions, as may be necessary, for the purpose of survey.
