4. Proclamation.
(1)The Survey and Settlement Officer shall publish a proclamation in Form-1 addressed to the land holders/persons having any interest in the lands of the area under Special Survey and Settlement operation, directing them to demarcate their lands for the purpose of pointing out boundary marks of the land parcels.(2)After the publication of proclamation under foregoing Rule- 4(1), the survey and settlement officer, or any other officer/employee, acting under the authority of the Survey and Settlement Officer shall have power to enter upon the lands under Special Survey and Settlement, to examine and measure such lands by any method, he deems fit and may clear the lands by cutting down or removing any trees, jungle, standing crops or other obstructions, as may be necessary, for the purpose of survey.
