302. Power of Commissioner to stop progress of building work unlawfully commenced or carried on.
(1)In any case in which the erection commenced is being carried on unlawfully as mentioned in Section 307, the Commissioner may by written notice require the building operations to be discontinued from the date of service of such notice.(2)Any person failing to comply with the terms of such notice shall be punishable with a fine which may extend to five thousand rupees and if he fails to comply with the terms of such notice after the first day of his failure so to do, with further fine which may extend to two hundred rupees for every such day alter the first.
