Section 21(2) in Haryana Children Rules, 1974

(2)Every Probation Officer shall carry out all directions given to him by a competent authority and the Chief Child Welfare Officer and shall perform the following duties, namely :-
(i)to make inquiries regarding the home and school conditions, conduct, character and health of children under his supervision;
(ii)to attend regularly the court of a competent authority and submit reports;
(iii)to maintain diary, case files, and such registers as may be specified from time to time.
(iv)to visit regularly children placed under his supervision and also places of employment or school attended by such children, and to submit regular monthly reports as nearly as in form VIII;
(v)to take children, wherever possible, from the court or a competent authority or an observation home to children's home, special school or fit person;
(vi)to bring before the competent authority immediately children who have not been of good behaviour during the period of supervision.
