Section 1 in The U.P. Lokayukta And Up-Lokayuktas Act, 1975
1. Short title, extent and commencement. -
(1)This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and Up-Lokayuktas Act, 1975.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Uttar Pradesh and applies also to the public servants posted outside Uttar Pradesh in connection with the affairs of that State.(3)[It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification] [This Act came into force on 12.7.1977 vide Notification No. 3794/XXXIX-(2) - 39(16)-75, dated 12.7.1977.] in the Gazette appoint.
