Section 13(1) in The Merchant Shipping (Maritime Labour) Rules, 2016
(1)The ship owner shall ensure that, in every case of loss or foundering of any ship, the ship owner shall pay to each seafarer on board an indemnity against unemployment resulting from such loss or foundering which shall be specified in the collective bargaining agreement.
