Section 6 in Lai Autonomous District (Village Councils) Act, 2007
6. Term of Village Council.
(1)Every Village Council unless sooner dissolved, shall continue for three years from the date of its first· meeting appointed by the Executive Committee.(2)The Executive Committee shall have the power to extend the term by not more than six month at a time.
