(3)'approved school' means any school in any specified area imparting primary education which,-(a)is under the management of the State Government or a local authority; or(b)being under any other management, is recognised by the State Government or by an officer authorised by the State Government in this behalf or by a school board as approved school for the purposes of this Act;
