Section 215(1) in The West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973
(1)When an order of supersession has been passed under section 214 then with effect from the date of the order -(a)all the members of the Gram Panchayat, the Panchayat Samiti or the Zilla Parishad, as the case may be, and all the members of the Sthayee Samitis thereof shall vacate their offices;(b)all the powers, duties and functions which, under the provisions of this Act or any rule or bye-law made thereunder or any law for the time being in force, may be exercised, discharged or performed by the Gram Panchayat, the Panchayat Samiti or the Zilla Parishad, as the case may be, or any Sthayee Samiti thereof shall be exercised, discharged or performed by such authority, person or persons as may be appointed by the State Government in this behalf;(c)all properties vested in the Gram Panchayat, the Panchayat Samiti or the Zilla Parishad, as the case may be, shall remain vested in the State Government until the reconstitution of such Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zilla Parishad.
