Section 1 in The Punjab Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1961
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Punjab Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1961.(2)It shall extend to the whole of the State of [Haryana] [Substituted by Haryana Adoption of Laws Order 1968.].(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different areas.
