Section 19(7) in Securities Contracts (Regulation) Rules, 1957
(7)The [Securities and Exchange Board of India] [Substituted for 'Central Government' by the Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 1996, w.e.f. 23.12.1996.] may, at its own discretion or on the recommendation of a recognised stock exchange, waive or relax the strict enforcement of any or all of the requirements with respect to listing prescribed by these rules.
