Section 25(2)(b) in The Rajasthan Civil Services (Commutation of Pension) Rules, 1981

(b)request the Head of Office within the period specified in clause (a) under intimation to the [Director, Pension Department] [Substituted vide F. D. Notification No. F. 1 (45) FD/Gr. 2/83, dated 17-1-1984 w.e.f. 1-12-1983.] that he may be permitted to reduce the amount of pension already applied for commutation to an amount to be indicated by the applicant.
