(3)The spittoons shall be of either of the following types-(a)a galvanised iron container with a conical funnel-shaped cover. A layer of suitable disinfectant liquid shall always be maintained in the container; or(b)a container filled with dry, clean sand and covered with a layer of bleaching powder and quick lime; or(c)any other type approved by the Chief Inspector.
