(1)The number and location of the spittoons to be provided shall be to the satisfaction of the Inspector.(2)The spittoons shall be cleaned and disinfected at least once every day.(3)The spittoons shall be of either of the following types-(a)a galvanised iron container with a conical funnel-shaped cover. A layer of suitable disinfectant liquid shall always be maintained in the container; or(b)a container filled with dry, clean sand and covered with a layer of bleaching powder and quick lime; or(c)any other type approved by the Chief Inspector.
