Section 2(1)(a) in The Bangalore Metro Railway (General) Rules, 2011

(a)"accident" means any occurrence which cause or has the potential to cause death or injury to staff, passenger or other person or cause damage to the property of the Bangalore Metro Railway, passengers or other persons;
