1. Short title, extent, commencement and application.
(1)This Act may called the West Bengal Mazdoor, Tindal, Loader, Godownman and Other Workers (Regulation of Employment and Welfare) Act, 1981.(2)It extends to the whole of West Bengal.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different areas or for different provisions of this Act.(4)It applies to the scheduled employments.
