Section 17(2) in Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Act, 2011
(2)An elected Member, other than the Chief Executive of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration, shall cease to hold office if -(a)he ceases to be a Member, or(b)he resigns his office in writing under his hand addressed to the Chairman of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Sabha in which case the resignation shall take effect from the date of its acceptance by the Chairman.
