Section 6(3)(i) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992

(i)the Principal, on being satisfied that the candidate, remained absent due to illness or could not attend the classes for reasons completely beyond his control may condone shortage in attendance up to five per cent in each requirement.
