23. Departments.
(1)Each School shall have such number of Departments as may be prescribed from time to time.(2)Each Department shall have a Head whose appointment, powers and duties shall be such as may be prescribed by the Statutes.(3)The Head of the Department shall be the Executive Head and shall be responsible for the faithful observance of Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations relating to the Department and for the organization and conduct of teaching, research and extension work in the Department under him.(4)The Head of the Department shall also be responsible to the Director of School for the teaching, research and extension Programmes entrusted to his Department.
