(1)This Act may be called [the Maharashtra Warehouses Act] [This Short title was substituted for the Short title 'the Bombay Warehouses Act, 1959' by Maharashtra 24 of 2012, schedule entry No. 80, (w.r.e.f. 1-5-1960).].(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Bombay.(3)It shall come into force on such [date] [25th day of April 1960 vide G.N., A. & C.D., No WHA, 1559/31854-MSC, dated 20th April, 1960.] as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
