Section 21 in The Motor Vehicles (Driving) Regulations, 2017
21. Vehicles going uphill to be given precedence.
(1)On mountain roads and steep roads, where the road is not sufficiently wide to allow the motor vehicles to cross each other freely, the driver travelling downhill shall-i. stop the vehicle on the left side of the road; andii. allow the vehicle proceeding uphill to pass first.
