Section 7 in State Bank of India Employees Provident Fund Regulations, 2015
7. Eligibility.
(1)Save as provided in sub-regulation (2), every permanent employee including a permanent part-time employee, who is required by the Bank to work for more than six hours a week in the service of the Bank, is entitled to contributory provident fund benefits under the terms and conditions or his service and shall become a member of the Fund from -(a)the date from which he is confirmed in the service of the Bank, or(b)the date from which he may be required to become a member of the Fund under the terms and conditions of his service.(2)Save as provided in regulation 35, employees of the Bank who are members of the Imperial Bank of India Employees' Provident Fund or who are engaged in any country outside India and appointed for service in such country, shall not be eligible for membership of the Fund.
