(5)A person to be appointed as an Assistant Commissioner shall be one,-(a)who has been for not less than three years as an Advocate of the High Court of [Telangana] [Substituted by G.O.Ms.No.37, Revenue (Endowment-I) Department, dated 01.11.2014.], by direct recruitment; or(b)who has been holding for not less than three years the post of Superintendent in the Endowments Department or the post of an Executive Officer of the prescribed grade, by promotion;(c)who has been holding an equivalent post of Assistant Commissioner in any of the charitable or religious institutions or endowments published under clause (a) of section 6 [***] [Omitted by G.O.Ms.No.37, Revenue (Endowment-I) Department, dated 01.11.2014.] by transfer:Provided that in the case of Deputry Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners the number of posts to be filled by Direct recruitment shall not exceed one-fifth of the cadre strength of each category.
