Section 7(1) in The Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000
(1)Subject to the control of the Academic Council, all recognised teaching in connection with the University courses shall be conducted by the teachers of the University in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by Regulations and shall include lecturing, laboratory work and other teaching methodology.
