Section 55(b) in Laws of the Bharathidasan University
(b)of being ordinarily resident within the Bharathidasan University area for the period as prescribed above. The evidence of residence shall be in the form of a certificate from an officer of the Revenue Department, not lower in rank than that of a Tahsildar.
