Section 5(1) in Andhra Pradesh Farmers Management of Irrigation Systems Rules
(1)On receiving nomination paper, the Election Officer shall forthwith number the nomination paper serially in the order in which it is presented and give a receipt as provided in Form 3 for Water Users' Association and the election officer or such other authorised person shall satisfy himself that the name and number of the candidate and his proposer, as entered in the nomination paper, are the same as those entered in the electoral roll. Where necessary, he shall direct that the nomination form be amended so as to be in accordance with the electoral roll.
