Section 20(2) in The West Bengal Council Of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975
(2)It shall be the duty of the Syllabus Committee to-(a)advise the Council on matters relating to the syllabus and the courses of studies to be followed and the books to be studied in recognised Institutions and for examinations instituted by the Council;(b)advise the Council on any matter relating to the syllabus, courses of studies or books to be studied, as may be referred to it by the Council.
