Section 1 in Meghalaya Shops and Establishment Act, 2003
1. Short title, extend and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Meghalaya Shops and Establishment Act 2003.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Meghalaya.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different areas or for different classes of shops or establishment
