25. Re-fixation of pay on promotion and on confirmation.
(1)The pay of an employee promoted from one grade to another shall be initially fixed at the minimum in the scale of higher grade, the difference between the pay so fixed and the substantive pay of the employee in the old scale, if the later be more, be treated as personal pay;(2)On confirmation in the higher grade, the pay of an employee shall be fixed at the stage in the higher grade which is next above his substantive pay in the old scale as on the date of confirmation, if such pay be higher than the pay drawn by him at the time of confirmation.
