Section 29(1) in The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968
(1)There shall be a Director of Extension and an Associate Director of Extension who shall be whole-time salaried officer of the University responsible to the Vice-Chancellor. He shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the prior approval of the Board in accordance with the Statutes made in this respect.
