Section 56(1) in Delhi Prisons (Transfer of Prisoner, Labour and Jail Industry, Food, Clothings and Sanitation) Rules, 1988
(1)Jail labour may be utilised:(a)for the preparation of building materials for the Public Works Department or for private sale, within the jail premises ;(b)for the construction of works under the Public Works Department in or near the jail; and
