Section 51(3) in The Dock Workers (Safety, Health And Welfare) Regulations, 1990
(3)The register and the certificates attached to the register shall be--(a)kept on board the ship in case of ship's lifting appliances, loose gears and wire ropes;(b)kept at premises of the owner in respect of other lifting appliances, loose gears and wire ropes;(c)produced on demand before an Inspector; and(d)retained for at least five years after the date of the last entry.
