Section 279 in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
279. Council to provide places for recreation.
(1)The Council may provide open space, parks, play-grounds, commons, swimming tanks and amenities for the use and employment of the people and may frame bye-laws regulating their use.(2)The Council may reserve any such place for the exclusive use of women and children.(3)Two or more local authorities may jointly provide and maintain open spaces, parks, play-grounds and swimming pools.
