Section 11(7) in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Universities Act, 2008
(7)(a)Every Member of the Executive Council other than Ex-officio Member shall hold office during the pleasure of the Governor. Provided that such member shall be eligible for re-nomination, so however that no such member shall hold office successively for more than two terms;(b)a nominated member of the Executive Council may tender resignation of his membership at any time. Such resignation shall be conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor by a letter in writing by the member and the resignation shall take effect from the date of its acceptance by the Government;
