2. Application.
- These rules shall apply to all minerals except-(i)petroleum and natural gas;(ii)[ coal, lignite and sand for stowing;] [ Substituted by G.S.R. 227(E), dated 22.4.1991 (w.e.f. 22.4.1991).](iii)any mineral declared as prescribed substances for the purpose of the Atomic Energy Act, 1962 (33 of 1962); and(iv)minor minerals.
