Section 18(1) in The Allahabad High Court Officers and Staff (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules, 1976
(1)Selection for promotion to posts mentioned in Rules 16 shall be made by a Selection Committee appointed by the Chief Justice.(ii)[ The criteria for selection shall be seniority subject to rejection of unfit.] [Amended vide Gazette Notification dated 04.09.2004.]
