Section 269(269) in The Railway Protection Force Rules, 1987
269.1Guard of Honour shall be detailed to -(i)attend the arrival and departure by railway train of the President, Vice-President, Prime Minister and the Governor of a State; and(ii)for the independence and Republic Day celebrations or other ceremonialfunctions of national importance.
