Section 74(2)(a) in The Haryana New Mandi Townships Building Rules, 1967

(a)if a connection between a private sewer and public sewer or between two private sewers is not made at a manwhole, a manwhole shall be made upon the private sewer within 12 metres (39.37 feet) of the public sewer or other private sewer to which it is connected;
