State of Jammu-Kashmir - Subsection

Section 27(3)(e) in Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act, 1969

(e)The Faculty of Oriental Learning shall consist of-
(i)such Head of the Oriental Institutions representing different subjects as are nominated by the Vice-Chancellor ;
(ii)eight persons nominated to the Faculty by the Academic Council on account of their possessing expert [knowledge of the subject] [Substituted by Act VIII of 1970 for the words 'Comprised in faculty' and 'knowledge in subject' wherever occurring.] or subject [comprising the Faculty] [Substituted by Act VIII of 1970 for the words 'Comprised in faculty' and 'knowledge in subject' wherever occurring.] at least half of whom will be University Professors, Readers and Principals of affiliated and constituent colleges ;
(iii)three persons possessing special knowledge of subject not otherwise adequately represented on the Faculty to be co-opted by the Faculty.
