13. Right to increase in pay on promotion.
(1)An officer shall have no claim to pay of a higher rank before promotion to such higher rank in accordance with the rules in that behalf.(2)Where an officer is promoted to a higher rank, either substantively or in a paid acting capacity, the appropriate pay and allowances admissible to him under these regulations shall he allowed from the date of such promotion as notified in the Gazette of India or other appropriate orders.
