Section 20 in The Orissa Forest Shooting Rules, 1973

20. Shikaries and Shikar Agents.

(1)No Shikari shall be granted recognition licence unless he has been engaged in acting and handling 'Shikar' parties at least for a period of one year before the date of application.
(2)No Company or Shikar Agent shall be registered unless it or he has been registered and recognised as such, by the Government of India, Ministry of Transport wing under its 'Rules for Recognition of Shikar Agents' issued under its circular letter No. 23-77 (1)/52, dated the 30th November, 1954, as revised from time to time.
(3)The registration fee for the recognition licence shall be as follows for a shooting season
(i) Shikari Rs. 20.00
(ii) Company of Shikar Agent Rs. 250.00
(4)The recognition licence shall be issued in Form 'D' annexed to these rules in the name of the Shikari for a Block or Blocks within a Division, as the officer authorised in this behalf may consider necessary and in the name of the Shikar Agent or Company for the whole State or any part thereof. The licence for Shikari shall be issued by the Divisional Forest Officer and by the Wild Life Conservation Officer for Shikar Agent and Company.
(5)The Company or Shikar Agent or Shikari granted recognition shall observe all the provisions of these rules, failing which the recognition is liable for cancellation.
(6)All recognised 'Shikar Agents' or Companies or Shikaries shall furnish to the licencing authority the information required to be filled by the permit-holder under Rule 13.
