Section 31M(1) in The Gujarat Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1963
(1)The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, declare any market area as `Special Market' or `Special Commodity Market' having regard to the factors such as turnover, area, nature of produce, special infrastructure requirements" of particular commodity and such other factors as it may deem fit, also in addition to the existing market.
