The existing Orissa Boiler Rules, 1937 shall cease to operate on the promulgation of this rule.Form 'A'

(A)Preparation for Thorough Inspection
At every inspection of boiler for the grant or renewal of a certificate, the boiler shall be empty and thoroughly clean in all its parts. All doors of manholes, handholes and right holes and cleaning plug and all caps in the header and mud-drumps of water-tube boilers, all tire bars, heaters, front plates, bridge plates, fire bridges, brick arch, oil fuel bourners and mechanical stroker fittings shall be removed. All valves and cocks comprising the boiler mountings shall be opened up and taken apart and the value and cocks grounds when necessary, before the inspector's visit.Provision shall be made for the removal of lagging or brick work on other concealing part and for the drilling of plates. If required by the Inspector and for verifying the pressure gauge and safety valve dimensions and weights. All smoke tubes, exterior or water-tubes, smoke boxes and external flues must be swept clean.Provision shall be made for the effective disconnection of all steam and hot water communication with any other boilers under steam, as proscribed in Part III of the Regulations. This shall be effected either by the removal of length of pipe from the steam and feed piping or by the insertion of substantial blank flanges, Where blank flanges are employed. They shall be inserted between the flange of the chest and pipe attached to it. No blank flange shall be inserted between a safety valve chest and the boiler.
(B)Preparation of Hydraulic Test
The chest of all mountings subject to steam pressure, shall be in place and shot tight or blank flanged. The safety valves shall either be jammed down or removed and the chest-opening blank flanges. The attachment* for the Inspector pressure gauge shall be in order. All doors shall be property jointed and tightened up. The boiler shall be completely filled with water, care being taken to allow all air to escape and if possible, a preliminary test not exceeding the working pressure of the boiler shall be taken before the Inspector's visit to test, the tightness of the joints. When a boiler is hydraulically tested for the first time it shall be entirely cleared of lagging or brick work ; at subsequent test the lagging or brick work or portions thereof, shall be removed if required by the Inspector.Preparation Now Required (A) (B).....................................................................................Tapped ¾ white worth bolt and nut thread.Note - The last certificate for the boiler shall be shown to the Inspector.Form DReport into the investigation of the accident to Boiler No...ToThe Chief Inspector of BoilersSir,In accordance with the instructions, I have hold a preliminary enquiry into the accident and the circumstances attending to it to boiler No............and now make the following report
