State of Odisha - Subsection

Section 5(3) in The Orissa Junior Employment Officer Service Rules, 1975

(3)A candidate shall -
(a)be of good character;
(b)be of sound mental and physical health, good physique and active habits and free from organic defects or physical infirmity;
(c)hold a degree of a recognised university in Arts, Science or Commerce;
(d)be able to speak, read and write Oriya and have-
(i)passed the M. E. School Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent examination or any higher examination conducted by the competent authority with Oriya as a language subject; or
(ii)passed Oriya as a language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above (to be certified by the Headmaster or Principal of the concerned secondary school recognised by the Board of Secondary Education or by any other competent authority) ; or
(iii)had Oriya as medium of examination in non-language subjects in Matriculation or equivalent examination which he has passed (to be certified by the Headmaster of the concerned high school recognised by the Board of Secondary Education) ; or
(iv)passed a test in Oriya equivalent to M. E. school standard conducted by any District Inspector of Schools in the State of Orissa.
