Section 16(1) in The Himachal Pradesh Police Act, 2007
(1)The State Police Organization shall have a State Intelligence Department for coordination, analysis and dissemination of intelligence, and a State Criminal Investigation Department for taking up investigation of inter-State and inter-district crimes and other important cases as may be entrusted by the Director-General of Police from time to time.
