(a)When the total of the estimates is within Rs. 2, 500 the Executive Engineer will send the plan and estimate direct to the local officer. When the estimate exceeds Rs. 2,500 (and in districts where boards carry out works for the Public Works Department, whatever the amount of the estimate may be) the plan and estimate will be sent by the Executive Engineer or District Engineer to the Superintending Engineer, who, after scrutiny, and, if necessary, revision will forward them to the local officer who, in turn, will submit them to the Director.
